Rīgas satiksme ticket controllers carried out 18 267 inspections of public transport in June. In total, 2959 passengers were fined for travelling without a ticket, which is 560 less than in May.
In June, a total of 1836 tram inspections, 9369 trolleybus inspections and 7063 bus inspections were carried out. The highest number of fines for travelling without a ticket was on trolleybus route 4 – 237 passengers, while no fines were imposed on trolleybus route 20, bus routes 47 and 60.
A ticket must be registered immediately when boarding Riga public transport. Tickets must be re-registered whenever boarding another means of transport.
